How It Got Started

Hello everyone, my name is Alexys!

I am the author of the blog: Life in my Twenties. I came up with the idea to create this blog before I turned twenty. The idea came to me as I was having many conversations with people who over and over again kept explaining how during your twenties, so much of life happens. And for that reason, I wanted to document all of it; so I decided to start this blog to document life in my twenties. 

I currently live in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I was born here, but I grew up in Grand Haven, Michigan but ended up moving back to Grand Rapids where I attended Cornerstone University. I fell in love with the city and decided to stay. It is also where I fell in love with my career of coaching soccer and futsal. It is also where I met my boyfriend, Urbano. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with close friends, shopping, and watching Disney movies. My favorite snack is fruit or anything sweet and salty. And my favorite color is purple. I am also a type 9 on the enneagram for all of you enneagram lovers out there. 

In this blog I hope that you will not only learn more about me and who I am, but also learn from the things  that I have gone through and take that with you through the obstacles that you may face in your future.
